There are a few extra benefits that should make this one worth joining.
First, in order to get the maximum benefits from the program, although you join for free, you should still refer at least five new members, a fact that on its own will encourage people to make more of an effort to get more people to sign up underneath them. After they do, you can mail anyone in your downline up to three times every week, and you will only ever receive a maximum of 20 mails per week from your upline. That equates to between three and five mails per day, which should not be too extreme for anyone.
Another interesting feature is the ability to choose who your own mails go to, because you can decide that you want mails sent to those who are in your direct downline, or to an equal number of random members.
Finally, the whole list building procedure is based on the double opt-in principle, which is the best way of protecting yourself from any possibility of having Spam complaints made against you.
If you are not familiar with the double opt-in system, what happens is that when you apply to join the program you are sent an e-mail to the address that you give, asking you to confirm that you really do want to join.
This is not because the site owners somehow think that you have lost your mind, but it is done to make sure that no-one else tries to enroll you in something that you may not want to join without your knowledge. You need to click on a link in the mail that you receive to say that it is you that wants to join. Only after that will you receive all the membership details and, if you do not click the link, then the whole thing will go no further.
As with List Joe, it is hard to see how anything could be more attractive than having a list builder program like this available for free, and yet I would be willing to bet that the vast majority of people will actually struggle to get their 5 required free members.
